Bay of Bengal Condition
Southwest monsoon is likely to set in Southern Myanmar Areas during (21st – 26th of May), Deltaic Areas during (27th of May – 2nd of June). A Low Pressure Area may form over the Bay of Bengal and it may further intensify into a Depression. During this monsoon period, monsoon will be weak to moderate. Weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy over the Andaman Sea and South Bay of Bengal and a few cloud to partly cloudy elsewhere over the Bay of Bengal.
Rain Condition and Rainy Days
Rain or thundershowers are likely below normal in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin State.
Rainy days are expected about (17) to (22) days in Upper Sagaing, Taninthayi Regions and Kachin, Kayin, Mon States, about (11) to (16) days in East Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady Regions and Shan, Chin, Rakhine, Kayah States and about (5) to (10) days in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, West Bago Regions.

Day Temperature will be (1.5°C) above normal of May average Temperatures in Naypyitaw, Lower Sagaing, Mandalay, Magway, Bago, Yangon, Ayeyarwady, Taninthayi Regions and Shan, Rakhine, Kayah, Kayin, Mon States and about normal of May average maximum temperature in Upper Sagaing Region and Kachin, Chin States.
